So a weekend ago me and my boyfriend were headed out to hit the bar with his brother. As we come to this major cross street we hear someone yelling in a megaphone. At first I could not hear what the guy was saying but we pulled into the gas station right by him. While my boyfriend went to go pay and pump the gas I got to really hear what the guy was yelling about. He was standing there yelling about the down fall of the United States and how it is the fault of all the tattooed and peirced freaks who don't do anything. And how they are bring down the United States with there lazyness and careless ways. How they should all be sent to there own little country to die.How the States would be better if they were not here. How the United States was a lost power because of all the tattooes and peirced freaks that were running down the country with there loose ways that all the can think of is sex, gettting drunk, and new ways to run down our country. How we needed to return to the good cristain vaules, were this kind of behavior was not acaptable. Were women stayed home with the childern and brought them up to be good people, not the worthless freaks we have now.
Now as I sat there and listened to all this bullshit, all I could think of is that I am part of this tatooed and peirced freak nation that he is talking about. How it is total bullshit to generalize like that. Yes I have tatooes, yes I have peircings, and yes I am a single mom who does not stay home with her childern, cause I am working my ass off to keep us afloat! All I could think of was what a load of shit! This guy who stands there yelling about all this has no clue what it takes to be a sigle parent! I have a regular shit job like half of the United States does. The kind were you work hard just to get screwed over when you see the paycheck. The kind that is caught between wanting to make things better for her kids, and just being able to pay bills. There are tons of us, we are the ones who take the shit jobs. We vote, we do jury duty, and in large part we are the ones who are the creative drive of America. The ones who do web pages, creative design, and music. Just because we look differnt don't mean we are lazy and don't contribute. We play hard because we work just as hard as the guy who wears a tie and sits in an office. And as for the drinking and sex... people have been doing that sence the dawn of time. We see it as a reward for working our asses of at thankless jobs.
Well after sitting there hearing him I almost got out of the jeep to go tell this guy off. But instead I went out drinking, and then home to have sex!! God Bless America...land of the uptight assholes and tattooed and peirced freaks!!
