A tear slides down my face
as my heart breaks
the love once given
is now taken away, no more
will I feel him by my side
nor have the pain from the
lies.
The tenderness of his kiss
will never be upon my lips,
The warm of his embrace now
replaced by the coldness of
the night.
Even though I know its for
the best my heart still
weeps of promises broken.
All I have is memories and
the symbol that I wear,
of a happier time.
I will never forget his
smile or his touch or the
way he made me laugh nor
the way he made me cry.
