So I'm not exactly the friendly sort. I'll nod to neighbors or waive, but I don't really hang out and chat. This week one of my christmas decorations died and I brought it in the house hoping to thaw it out and fix it. I got sick and haven't gotten around to it yet. Today the neighbor brought over a replacement, saying she's had it for years and never put it up as she has no way to plug it in. While unnecessary it was very nice. Meanwhile the next door neighbor has been wonderfully nice to my son as both are musicians. And this week when it snowed and we were all down with the sick he shoveled for us (we think it was him). So...I was thinking it'd be nice to give each of them a small token gift for Christmas. Problem is I don't know anything about either of them. One is a middle aged single lady. The other is a recently divorced guy probably in his late 50s.
Maybe a gift card to a coffee shop? Or a fruit basket? Or...uh..other ideas? |
