So planning Universal; with way more rest time than we gave ourselves for Disney; (#disabledlessonslearnedthehardway) this summer as soon as the kids hit their break. It's a rough 2 day drive each way so we were thinking of flying this time even though I hate everything about taking a plane; let alone taking my whole family on one. Also way more money than the drive.
The new whip we ordered goes into production on March 5th and could be ready on time. (Barring any more autoworker strikes?) Admittedly; it would be tight for 2 adults and 2 pre-teen children to travel for 4 days with luggage for a 2 week stay in a 2 door sports car. Obviously wouldn't be able to take food along or other comfort items. Also not in any real hurry to put miles on or possibly damage the brand new and made just for us American muscle. (Yes I'm cleaning out the garage already!  )
Should we take the old (2015 but like new) Durango; the very old (2009; I trust this ride mostly because I've replaced almost everything.) Hyundai Tucson; break in the brand new whip if it's ready with a nationwide tour; or pony up the dough (and guts and patience) for airplane tickets that will add over $2500 to the cost of this trip?
