The road to success is a  never ending battle that one must first overcome, by facing the problems head on and taking key opportunities away to enhance one’s own abilities. When one erects a house from the ground up; he must have a solid foundation in order, for the house to become sturdy and to withstand any inclement weather. A person must have the same thinking process of building a  house to become successful in life by possessing five essential values to build a strong foundation; integrity, commitment, loyalty, compassion, and responsibility. I will be discussing the two main principles for a strong foundation.

Most of us don’t spend a lot of time thinking about what poor values are and how they affect our lives; we simply adopt them almost imperceptibly. Often we have to knockdown the old foundation to replace it with the truly important positive values; but if we have already established strong values, and just need a minor touch-up, it is foolish to replace the entire foundation. If the foundation is strong, we can simply add some reinforcements and keep building on the good start we have made. One must remember a value is a principle that you consider worthwhile or desirable.

The cornerstone of your foundation and most important block in the whole house is integrity. When you lay a strong foundation and forget to install integrity, your whole house will eventually come crashing down. One must build a legacy by living and acting truthfully in their daily lives. When one loses his integrity in dealing with business adventures, it will be hard for him to regain their trust.

Next a person must have a rock solid commitment, which is the second most valuable part of their house. Commitment is your character trait that causes you to do the tough things now, and to look further down the road for rest, relaxation, and the rewards. When one is committed on improving his lifestyle; he might wake up early and start the work day early, stay later to see things through the end, and making more business calls to enhance his business relationship. It is your commitment that convinces you to push towards your goal, when you can’t push no more it is your dying desire to push even further in order to accomplish success.

A person can always improve one’s character traits by doing what comes natural to him. One must never forget that building a strong foundation, will take you further down the road to success. Once there he must always reinforce or daily touch- up to his foundation in order to maintain his edge. He must always have faith in his own abilities, to see things through the end and not to give up once there.

The very first step into becoming financial free from debt is to save $500.00 or $1000.00 emergency fund. When you squrriel away this money and a emergenncy arrives; you will have the money to take care of this small problem. Instead of using a credit card to get out of this emergency you will already have the funds available.

Saving money is 80% mental and 20% physical. The biggest obstacle that is on your way is yourself, first you must change the way of thinking. Look into the mirror and say I can so this. Once your fed up being in debt and tired of the harassment from the debt collectors start by taking the proper measures to financial freedom. Once you create a budget stick with it and find ways to save money for the end of te month so you don't live paycheck to paycheck. Married couples needs to have constant communication and agree to the budget they are setting forth on.

The second step towards financial freedom is the debt snowball. Find your bills and look for the one that has the highest interset rate and pay that one off first. Once that is done roll that money to the second largest bill you have with its regular payment. keep repeating this process until all your bills are paid off. Another quick way is any extra money you have that you make from yard sales, auctions, babysitting, delivering pizza's you add to the highest bill.

Next time i will discuss the $10,000 emergency fund and the fourth step to the baby steps of financial freedom.
