Are there words enough to express
this feeling of total barren emptiness
Those last words cut me deep
Blood and tears from those wounds did weep
There was a misundertanding, a lack of communication
in a dream or nightmare came total revolation
You walked away without a single fight
with no forgiveness in sight
I completely and utterly misread what you meant
my words of course are not as eloquent
My tongue (devestatingly) is not very graceful
in speaking the matters of my soul
So if you choose not to forgive me
at least let me know, let me see
That those precious wings are no longer mine
as I stand here waiting in frozen time
For that second chance, to prove
that I never meant harm or pain to you
That my wings are so important to me
although I will hang them up, if that is what must be
