I lived in the USA for about 1.5yrs and seem to have noticed that people are not used to courtesy and etiquette anymore. I held the door for a lady and got scolded "that she wasn't a cripple". Yet others appreciated it. I'm been raised as a gentleman by my father but it seems our ways have vanished. Like holding a car door, pulling out a chair for a lady, helping her get her coat on, etc... Do you guys think this is just too old fashioned or is it still acceptable? |
