What are you waiting for?

The Taliban have officially retaken Kandahar in their latest blitzkrieg attack against major Afghan Cities as Marines and Soldiers are preparing to evacuate Americans from Kabul. Over the past week, the Taliban have conducted a series of blitzkrieg style attacks directly through the heart of Afghanistan, taking control of three of the largest cities in the country. Ghazni, Herat, and even Kandahar are now all being reported as under Taliban control with U.S. Military Intelligence Analysts predicting that Kabul could fall into their hands in as little as 30 days, with the rest of the country collapsing within two months. With the new threat assessment coming from military intelligence analysts, a plan of action has been put in place to evacuate Kabul. Britain has stated that they will be sending 600 British Soldiers to Kabul to conduct an evacuation of British Citizens and their embassy. The United States has stated that they will also be sending 3,000 Marines and Soldiers to Kabul to conduct a partial evacuation of the American Embassy. On top of that 3,000 Marines and Soldiers, a small contingent of troops have been moved to Qatar and Kuwait to act as a quick reaction force should the situation start to get out of control on the ground. “This is not abandonment. This is not an evacuation. This is not a wholesale withdrawal,” State Department spokesman Ned Price said when asked what the purpose for the troop movement to Afghanistan was. “What this is is a reduction in the size of our civilian footprint.” All of that said, Kabul itself is not directly under threat yet, however with the Taliban controlling Ghazni things are not looking good. If you're not geographically knowledgeable on the country of Afghanistan, here's what you need to know. One of the only paved highways in Afghanistan runs through Ghazni, and it's the primary route that links Kabul to the rest of Southern Afghanistan. While under Taliban control, the Afghan National Army will not be able to move logistics or troops through Ghazni in either direction, effectively cutting off the capital from reinforcements from the south unless the Afghan Airforce effectively employs their limited rotary wing assets perfectly. Afghan civilians who have ties to government forces, or government employees are finding themselves in at the most extreme risk right now. According to a good friend of mine, who is a former Afghan Commando that has family outside of Kandahar, his family members are currently actively hiding from the Taliban everywhere they go. From that same source, we have heard that there are rumors of stonings, amputations, and mass public executions happening all around the country in Taliban controlled territories. Some of these rumors are provably true, as just yesterday images surfaced online of a woman who had been publicly executed for wearing jeans underneath of her burqa.

How Can I ever go Home

How can i ever really go home when my brothers in arms have given their lives to save my live? When all i have is memories of dead friends now ? People tell me not to live in the past but what do you do when that's all you have left? When most days i wake up and wonder why im still alive? I'm told i should settle down and start a family? But at my age who would want me and most women around my age already have a family and younger women just don't want an old man like me. Besides i have tried twice and they both were killed so some higher powers telling me that i am meant to walk through live alone. SO alone i will walk i guess and alone i shell die as i have done my entire life. I will keep protecting people from from the evil in the world until the evil kills me i guess and i shell walk alone with my brother's here on earth until i go to heave or hell it matters not witch one i go to for i have brother's in both.

The Mayonnaise Jar.

The Mayonnaise  Jar. Something Someone Special to me sent me along time ago May she Resr in Peace .

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle,
When 24 hours in a day is not enough;
remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class
and had some items in front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly,
he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
and start to fill it with golf balls .

He then asked the students if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and  poured
it into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.
He then asked the students again
if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand
and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded
With an unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table
and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively
filling the empty space between the sand.
The students laughed.

'Now,' said the  professor, as the laughter subsided,
'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things - God, family,
children, health, friends, and favorite passions--
things that if everything else was lost
and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the things that matter like your job , house and car.

The sand is everything else --
t he small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued,
'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are
important to you.

So...

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play with your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time
to clean the house and fix the dripping tap.

'Take care of the golf balls first --
The things that really  matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand
and inquired what the coffee represented.

The  professor smiled.

'I'm glad you asked.'
It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

Please share this with other "Golf Balls."
I  just did.

As i sit here drining & thinking i wonder why i am steal alive when i have watched so many of my friends my brothers in arms die ??             Yes i have walked thru the valley of the shadow of death & i have looked in the face of evil & smiled & stood with my brothers & fought him  where ever he was & see my brothers of all colors put in body bags fighting the GWOT & many others evil things all around the world.

And so as i sit here still doing my part as best as i can i can't help but wonder why i am still here and they are not????                                    Wondering when it will be my time to go if and when? If at all? Or if i will just grow old and live to be just another old man??                    To be alone because every one i have ever love ever known has been killed or is dead ??

So i sit and i drink and i wonder why? I wonder when ? I wonder why the two women i love were kill before we even had time to start life together before we could be happy before any thing??

I just sit here and drink and wonder why i am still alive after all im just dead inside ??

Thought or the day

I may piss off some ppl but in going to say it any way. I believe every one has the right to peaceful protest but what is going on now is not even close to peaceful. It is nothing but riots and burning everything down to get there way They are not protesters any more they are Terrorist IE: a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.In the United States of America, terrorism is defined in Title 22 Chapter 38 U.S. Code § 2656f as "premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant target, the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear.  stay safe & always carry a gun.
