We are all blessed to have at least 3 women in our lifes, Regardless of how we might feel about them personally we are still blessed. Those women would be 1) Our Mothers 2 and 3) Our Grandmothers Paternal and Maternal)

In my life Breast Cancer has been devastating. Breast cancer took the lifes of both my Grandmothers and my mother was fortunate enough to be a survivor. Sadly I buried nearly 26 years ago come the 6th of October.

That is 3 women and at their deaths only my mother had a breast left. I know as best as I can as a son of the horror that was their loss. The surgery done on my mother was at best I would call butchery. It saved her life but came at a horrifc personal cost.

Please to the many lovely ladies in Fubar, do self exams and anything you find that seems possibly wrong get it checked out asap.

For some reason this hits me harder this year than in past years. I am tired and though they know and can do more, it is way past time to find a cure.

Lost Paternal Grandmother 1968 (note Grandfather and Grandmother died 26 hours apart) 

Lost Maternal Grandmother 1989 (3 mos after my grandfather) 

My mom 6 October 1990 (still not over that. Was too damn early ... though Cancer didn't get her)
