Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust and hostility to evaporate. Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother. Doubt is the beginning, not the end, of wisdom. Doubt is the father of invention. Doubt is the vestibule through which all must pass before they can enter into the temple of wisdom. Doubt whom you will, but never yourself. If a man will begin with certainties, he shall end in doubts; but if he will be content to begin with doubts, he shall end in certainties. If doubt is challenging you and you do not act, doubts will grow. Challenge the doubts with action and you will grow. Doubt and action are incompatible. If you doubt you can accomplish something, then you can't accomplish it. You have to have confidence in your ability, and then be tough enough to follow through. It is always easier to believe than to deny. Our minds are naturally affirmative. Jealousy lives upon doubts, it becomes madness or ceases entirely as soon as we pass from doubt to certainty. Modest doubt is called the beacon of the wise.
