I'm considering getting another dog as my yellow lab passed away last year. I've wanted a mastiff (not a bullmastiff, but the 150-200lb REAL mastiff) my entire life.

Mastiffs are good dogs, like overgrown labs (I've lived with one before), the thing is.. all my labs (one of each color!) have been such great dogs.

Do I go for the breed I've wanted my whole life, or the one that has done so well?
