Hey guys. Still lookin' for all your help as we continue to search for our new guitarist. So far, the pickings have been slim and we'd definitely have made one by now if there was a worthy choice, but the truth is, there just hasn't been. So, get the word out for us.
We're an established Mifflinburg based band that covers the edgier side of modern rock. We're looking for an all purpose guitar player that is well versed enough to stand alone as the only guitar player in the band. I will hopefully be getting more involved in the guitars myself, but I have no desire to be a full time guitarist at this point.
You must have your own pro gear. Please!!! Practice combo's just don't carry the weight we need in our sound. Possession and the ability to play seven string guitars is a major plus, but willing to work around this if you're good enough. You must also have a good working attitude. Ego can be a real asset in this business, but it can be a real pain in the ass if it's too big. We keep ours in check. We will expect the same from anyone who joins the band.
As I said, we are a cover band. There is an interest in writing original material, but covers are what sell and if you want to play for large and loyal crowds, that's just the way at the moment. Still, we try to push the envelope as much as possible. We're currently covering the likes of Godsmack, Disturbed, Korn, Alice in Chains, Ozzy, Limp Bizkit, Tool, as well as radio rock staples like Nickelback and Buck Cherry. We're trying to bring in a little Zombie, Slipknot, and Pantera to help push our edge a little further, but we've also found enjoyment from taking the older classics and beefing them up to fit our style.
In a nutshell, if you love to play, want to play, CAN play, and want to work with a group of guys that feel the same, get off yer ass and get in touch. We're ready to get back out and playing as soon as we find our guitarist.
