Standing in the home of the Assassins,
With its dark windows and empty halls.
My ears are straining,
Hoping to hear .
I listen for any signs of life,
Hoping but knowing its true.
These hallways will forever remain still.
No longer will I hear the voices of my warriors.
The legacy of the Assassins has been laid to rest.
My men have gone,
Slain during our battles in hell.
Or gone to pursue other lives.
Most have moved on,
Taking part in other battles.
I alone remain here still
I stand here alone.
I walk the empty halls,
continuing the watch over this company.
A company once filled with many brave souls,
proud men known for their bravery and conquests.
But none remain,
No longer will they be conquering their enemies.
Only ghosts walk these hallways now.
The Assassins are nothing more than a memory.
A wraith that lingers on,
Slowly fading into the forgotten past.
And yet here I remain,
A lone guardian without companions.
Only the rattling windows and the rustling leaves breaking the silence.
Alone and suspended in Limbo,
I watch over the remnants of the past.
And here I shall stay until my time.
