My thought for the day is this:
When people join a site like Fubar, is it because they are seriously wanting to meet new people? Or because they have this insatiable need to feel like they are truly popular? What happens when someone like me, who doesn't feel the need to be popular, joins a community full of people who are insecure enough to berate people for rating their pics honestly? I have plenty of friends irl. I don't feel the need to be popular. I view this site as a game. I play the games, rate the pics, vote on the mumms, all for points to buy pretend stuff. That's all. If in the process I meet a friend or two, great! If not, that's fine too.
