Badness's blog: "Darkness..."

evil...

Right and wrong. Ever really think about those terms? They don't exist in nature, only we have that distinction. Is it wrong that a cheetah kills an old or slow prey? How bout when a hawk scoops up some poor fieldmouse? What about when cities flood, or the earth quakes? That is merely the "natural order of things", no right or wrong, out of our control. Yet we strive to note that we make that point-of-view distinction and therefore are higher beings. We even created religions to justify what is right and what is wrong. Yet we do nothing to change what what we know to be wrong. Hell, we actually do more to justify it. I say that as higher beings we don't need religion and politics to tell us how to justify the wrongs; merely the "God" that lives in each and everyone of our civilized guts to justify us doing whats right! I feel that everyone (ok, a few psychotics aside) has a lil feeling in the pit of their stomach from about age five that lets us know when we do wrong or an injustice is taking place. We merely decide to ignore it sometimes as a society. We don't need a church to tell us that; or a law for every conceivable situation that may occur. Our ability to have this feeling is truly what makes us higher beings; and should make us want to behave like higher beings. We have a responsibility to respect humanity and always strive to be humane (funny most "humans" lack the ability to be "humane"). I challenge you to answer to a higher power we ALL should believe in--that lil voice in your gut that hungers for justice, equality, and the righting of wrongs. We start wars to bring peace, rape the planet while claiming to be conservationist, tax the poor to help the rich, spend millions on entertainment yet won't feed the homeless, hate one another whom we claim to be our brothers. Is all this wrong? Ask your gut. But if you don't like it's answer and do nothing-- then you my friend have gone from wrong to evil...

My dark thoughts....

Though we are but lost souls, the vacuum of our emptiness draws us together over the void of time and space. Death may claim us in the end, but it's victory will be a hollow one. For those of our kind know that we are born alone, die alone, and in between the womb and the grave we have learned to embrace loneliness rather than fear it. Therefore, we fear not the grim Reaper and are prepared to return once more.... Let me also address false Gods and false hope. Such as technology; although not truly a religion it holds to alot of the same tenants as those would be saviours of mankind. It (like any religion) is sound and pure in it's infantile idea stage. While it is still being nurtured by our imaginations and bound to our souls. However, once life is breathed into that infantile idea (and it's direction is guided by such concepts as morality, self-loathing, and contempt...) it becomes rigid and unyeilding. Ultimatly it will do mre harm than good. With judeo-christianity comes seperation, shame, guilt, denial, and a sense of never being good enough; with technology comes false wisdom, laziness, false enlightenment, and apathy. We need to realize that the true key to the universe is our minds, and our bodies mere mechanisms. Fear not the darkness, for that is where dreams come from---and that is our true power! That is where you will find the one true God is You. Religion teaches us to turn from darkness and it's questions; technology claims to bannish darkness and questions all together... Christianity would have you put yourself in the midst of an epic battle between good and evil. The one God vs the Evil One, the "Great Deciever". However, if you read their own text Lucifer's big sin was merely to question God, and man's as well. What of a being who would give us free reason, then deny us to use it? Those same text talk of how the good God flood the world killing everyone/thing, conned Abraham into thinking he had to sacrifice his only child (then recanted), killed all the first-born sons of Egypt, laid to waste two cities (Sodom and Gomorra), and was behind many a plague. Last but not least those same said text prove the "Great Deciever"'s only transgressions were against a man named Job--with God's blessing. The whole thing is very confusing. It blurrs the whole concept of good and evil, raises more questions than it answers, and leaves one asking "who truly is the 'Great Deciever'?" For it is the christians who are being decieved.... I am not saying Satan is good. But is God?? All we have is our ability to reason. It is the key to everything, never surrender it! If you think about it, even God feared mankind wielding the great power of reason. Why?? The good book even says that upon partaking of the forbidden fruit "they became like unto Gods"... Reason may start in darkness but no matter how long or dangerous the journey it always ends in the truth. If you must worship a God, worship yourself!
