So, basically,
I have this friend who really likes this guy..
But he doesn't like her back. They had a one-night stand type thing,
and she got pregnant and had the child.
He was aware that she was pregnant, but wanted nothing to do with her or their son, Nathan. Nathan is now, 8 years old and has a "father" figure.
He knows this man, as his daddy, his father. He's been there since she had him. Nathan is not aware that he is not his birth father. The mother thought it best not to tell Nathan, because that's the last thing she wanted to do. She didn't want to cause Nathan to have problems growing up.
Well, now, the "sperm donor" wants to be involved in the child's life. She doesn't think that that is a good idea, seeing as how for the last 8 years, he didnt pay any support or anything, never sent presents, nothing. And now all of a sudden wants Nathan to know that he is his daddy...
Do you guys think that he should be told that the "sperm donor" is his real father, or should it wait? |
