With new leaders sometimes come unnecessary and unwanted changes.
It totally sucks when someone comes up with an idea that suits their own vision of how an existing system needs to be changed and has all the butt-kissers under their command falling all over each other to ensure those changes are implemented.
I am currently in a position (one of twelve in Canada) where significant technical experience in a variety of communications systems is required in order to understand how to function efficiently.
Now this freaking numpty has taken command and declared a massive redistribution of resources (people) with the intent to have members of a completely different trade, with no technical background gradually assume our roles.
Enough ranting....
I have the opportunity to leave my present position, which is permanent and guaranteed, and accept a contract with neither the permanency nor a guarantee of employment is assured. However, the remuneration is quite a bit more than what I make now.
Should I jump from this sinking ship or stick it out until forced to go? |
