I'm making beefy nacho crockpot soup for dinner. The recipe says to put tortilla chips on the bottom of the crockpot before the other ingredients. Well, I can't help but to think they would be a mushy mess by the time it is done cooking. So, do I leave them out until right before I serve it OR put them on the bottom like the recipe says?
