Hello All!
Well...some of you might know by now that I play in a local KC area Country band named "RiverGard".
Well...we have been involved in a local Country Battle of the Bands called "Country Wars" that is being produced by acclaimed KC producer Jim Kilroy of Banzai Magazine and Club Wars fame.
Well...if you weren't aware then I guess you are now. Furthermore we are in the Finals which are taking place on Friday November 9th at Harrah's VooDoo Lounge in North Kansas City, Missouri. The show starts at 9pm (21 and over) and there will be a cover charge of probably $5.00 at the door.
We can use EVERYONE that can come out to bring all the people that you can, come early, grab a ballot and VOTE FOR RIVERGARD!!!
The scoring (and the winner) is determined by a combination of Judge Votes and Fan Votes. We need to get more fan votes than the other 3 bands to get the most possible fan vote points. The band with the most fan votes gets 5 points (the max points available for fan votes) and then the band with the next most votes gets 4 points and so on. The Judges can each award up to 5 points to each band. They are looking for performance (crowd reaction), technicality, execution, and song selection.
If you can come we would LOVE to see you there. Make sure to come up and say HI so that we make sure that we get to meet you and say THANKS for being there for us. As always, mention that you heard about us on the web to recieve a FREE personally autographed 8 1/2 x 11 color photo of the band (supply limited).
