Let's recap the last day and so on.
My computer died. The one at work, I mean, not the hones at home.
It's been getting slower for weeks and while I was in Vegas my coworkers were ready to take it outside and destroy it. I got back and things just went wrong one after another. Finally after lunch yesterday it decided to not to another thing. After three attempts at cold booting it finally got me to the log in screen about 30 minutes after the last one. So, we ended up switching me to a different computer. (which means that while I can log in and get my email and such my desktop is completely gone. I have to rebuild all the shortcuts that I use so much) The worst part is that they are getting me a new computer (which is cool) but I'll have to fix it up too.
Now you would have thought that my email and things would have been set up before I got in today.
Nope.
I spend the first 2 hours at work trying to fix everything just so I could do my job. I just now got caught up.
Oy.
I'm also in full on Geek mode today. I've got my Starfleet Academy t-shirt on, my Enterprise-D denim jacket, a Star Trek novel nearby and a Star Trek CD in the car.
I'm not sure what brought on this mood but I'm enjoying every moment of it. I kinda want to buy season 5 if I can find it for cheap and watch some. (Next Gen of course)
Oh well. Time to go work.
