So many nights I've dreamt of the dreadful day
The day you'd have to go away
The nights of awakening in a shivering cold sweat
Tears running down my face leaving my pillow wet
I've always known someday it would all come true
How was I to know "Someday" comes all too soon
The dreams of yesterday have now come to an end
Now the new ones begin
As I've always known they would
For they've been there all the time
Waiting in the darkness waiting for the sign
I dream now of your return to me
Though I know this could never be
For my dreams have all along
Been of you "coming Home".
