| I just filled up the oil tanks today and it was $1200. I could have bought gaasoline for the same price as home heating oil. I can remember when oil was at least $.40 cheaper a gallon than gas. Now gas is the same and we are paying almost $.45 a gallon in taxes on every gallon of gas and oil for heat has no taxes. I am thinking of getting a wood/coal burner as an add on heating device for the house as I have a flu that is not being used. Coal is $75 a ton around here and the money will be going to someone else besides the price gouging oil companies. Should I get the burner or keep helping the oil companies make billions in profits? |
