| Here in Tampa a mother faces jail because she escorted her child onto a bus to confront a girl who was tormenting her and eventually slapped her. The children ended up fighting, but the bus driver, knowing what was happening didn't stop it. The mother seems unpreterbed about her child fighing, saying it was the only way to deal with a bully. I had the same thing happen as a child with a girl who moved into our neighborhood (though I don't know how they afforded it.) They were very lowclass and racist, abd tge gurl got more and more violent, until my father eventually took me to her house and told me to defend myself. Her father was also there and was very belligerent and was proud of his daughter's "tough" behavior... until I won the fight! I thought that a good move, because it ended the bullying for good. Bullying can end up in serious injury to a child, mentally and physically. My question is this..should this woman go to jail for encouraging her daughter to defend herself? |
