Bound As One
Body: Without a shadow I wandered
alone in the sun,
A flower wilting without rain
The winter long and cold
until you came.
No more loneliness
For we have the other,
Close together we will be
To care and love
For we can see
That oneness gives life.
Oneness as warmth
to keep out the cold
Oneness as light
to banish the darkness
Oneness as comfort
when pain has come
Oneness as shelter
from raging storm
Oneness as wisdom
to offer support.
There is no chill of night
There is nothing more to fear
For we are one.
Creator of all the universe
Creator of our heart
our Lord and Redeemer
Hold us in oneness
that we may live long
on Your earth.
And when our days fade to a last sunset
we will soar above the heavens
where there is perfect peace
comfort, warmth, shelter and light,
