Just a quick update for those who know and care. I now live near Marion, NC and it is truly beautiful. AND...drumroll please, I FINALLY got a JOB!! I am the new Business Office Manager for a regional assisted living facility outside of Asheville. And I'm crosstraining for Resident Assistant for my on-call weekends once a month...and I can get my Masters in Social Services/Therapy paid for by them! YES!!

Mom, Chuck and all of the critters are great.

Not going to go on about all of the bad stuff that has happened over the last six months...suffice it to say I pray alot, have my health, my cats are well and with me in NC, Jeep runs and I live in some of the most beautiful area EVER. I found the depths of some friendships and the shallowness of others but knowing where I stand is a blessing. I don't have internet access at the house yet (working on it) so I'll try to pop on once a week or so. In the meantime, be well, pray for me (as I do for you) and be blessed.

So now I am struggling for independence but still very focused on helping others however I am able...even though it invariably bites me in the ass. The job is a wonderful opportunity to do something of value for others (and happens to pay me to do so)...and hopefully this year will be the best I've had in a few. I keep praying, and I am absurdly grateful that my prayers have been answered.

I drive a Jeep Cherokee Sport (Bonnie - short for Texas Blue Bonnet...my favorite roadside flower and she is blue). Yes, I name my cars...deal. I'm always looking for the road not taken...so Bonnie and I can tear it up. I love to off-road...although I am not "serious" about it yet.

I am an only child and my Mom moved out of my house (lived with me for a year until her divorce was final) and down to North Carolin about 18 months ago. She has a wonderful log cabin on 12.5 acres complete with deer, wild turkeys, a bear, two cougars, and tons of hummingbirds. She is a very happy woman and that is all that is important to me. Family and friends are who I live for.
