I am a 50 years old male, of Flemish (Belgian) and Irish heritage, now living in London, Ontario, Canada, though I have lived many other places throughout my life. My current home is a large loft apartment in a 150 year old building downtown. I am 6'1. 190 lbs. I have green eyes, short cropped salt and pepper hair and a short gray beard. I am an environmental architect (retired), an educator, a designer and design consultant, a sculptor and painter, a collector of contemporary art and old books. a composer of music, a photographer, and a writer, poet and scholar. When not pursuing those activities I enjoy entertaining friends and watching classic films, a subject of which I am very knowledgeable From time to time I also make short films. My usual style of dress is what some people would call formal -- a three piece suite and tie. My appearance and my manners my appear old-fashioned, but my ideas and conversation are not. The music I compose is cutting edge electronica, and most of my many friends and colleagues in the music business are between 18 and 30 years of age, and though history is one of my areas of scholarly study, I have always been just as interested in everything that is new in art, culture and science -- at least everything new that is of quality. For that reason I abandoned watching television several years ago in favor of the Internet. I also abandoned all interest in politics at about the same time, when the search for quality on TV or among politicians became a painful pursuit with ever diminishing returns. I have no interest in the ordinary news of the day either.
