I thought this was beautiful...





On September 29 ,2005 my grandmother left me to be with God. At 3:32 AM he called her home after a long battle with liver disease. Today was the year mark since she has been gone and the sting is still fresh. I wrote this memorial and put it in my local paper today....

One year ago today you went to be with our Heavenly Father. We are comforted knowing that you are watching over each of us in your special loving way and holding our hands as we travel through our journey in life.
To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under heaven: As your gardens came to life this past spring we could see your beautiful smile in each precious bloom. We know each day you are with us in our hearts, on our minds and in our soul. God blessed us when He made us a part of you and your unconditional love.
Until we meet again, you're loving husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren

Here is a poem I wrote for her while sitting by her grave on the anniversery of her death...

Blowing Kisses to Heaven,
That's what I can do,
Every time I want to say,
Grandma "I Love You"
Blowing Kisses to Heaven,
I know that you love me,
I am so blessed and so thankful
That God gave this precious Grandma to me !
Everyone that met her,
Claimed her as their own !
Gentle, so caring, so giving, so kind !
Grandma was the most unique prize
And we were privileged to have her with us
For such a very long time !
Now she is receiving ~ the blessings so
deserved
And every time I think of her
I'll blow kisses to Heaven
From my heart to her's
