I found my peace while in the mountains of NC. And I thank God nightly for the men and women fighting so that I may have that peace. One day it was 95 with very high humidity. And I feel lousy...it's too hot. And stupid as it may sound, it hit me...this is nothing compared to what they suffer through daily over in Iraq and Afghanistan (and all of the other war torn areas we try to save). And the heat didn't feel as intense...and I stopped feeling sorry for myself...and started feeling for the soldiers who feel real hardship and life-threatening danger.
