It is that dreaded time of year again; Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching. I know most of the ladies LOVE Valentine's Day. I AM NOT ONE OF THEM. Ladies, all you need to do is watch your men shop for your card to know that this is not his idea of love. I watch them every year scramble to get a card on the 14th and none of them have a look of love in their eyes. Why force men to proclaim their love for you on this one day of the year. It is not really meaningful when they are forced to buy you flowers, jewelry, and candy.
So I propose that everyone express their love every day of the year, in ways special to the individual. Men, give your ladies a single rose tomorrow and when she asks why, you can tell her it is because you love her. She is more likely to remember that than some lame ass saying by Hallmark. Ladies, wear that little lacy number tonight and give it to your man like you did when you were first dating. And as he reaches that special point, whisper your love in his ear. I am in no way against the expression of love; however, I believe it should actually come from the heart, not the wallet.
On Valentine's Day, watch a horror movie in protest or do something totally not related to the Day!! Enjoy your 14th!!!
