every woman should own a speculum

the first time i saw my cervix i was 19. i wish i had seen it sooner. i think that all gynecologists should show women the insides of their vaginas. it should be a routine part of the exam. why did it take so many years for a doctor to be so compassionate?
this last year i purchased my own speculum, so that i can view my vagina and cervix whenever i want. why? you might ask. isn't once a year at the dr's office enough? HELL NO!
i had to go to the dr this last year because i was having pain durring intercourse. upon examining me the dr thought i might have genital warts. i had unusual, small, raised areas on my vaginal walls. so, i had a vaginal byopsy, (yes, they cut out small pieces) and a whole range of testing to determine if i had warts, and if not, what was wrong with me now. (my cunt is often a trouble maker). this prompted me to purchase my own speculum, i had to see for myself. it turned out, that i (thank god) do not have hpv (genital warts) or herpes, or any other disease. i have... scar tissue. that's right, my pussy is just tore up. and as with all the scars on my body, including my tattoos, because my skin is so sensitive, the scar tissue is easily irritated, often becoming raised, inflamed, itchy, reddened, etc. all very unpleasant in the vagina. this diagnosis was also, not unfamiliar. my first fisting injury brought me to a dr in burien, where i was sure none of my practices would be accepted. the dr was surprisingly very sex positive, even amused by my embarassment, as i mumbled 'a fist'. the only thing wrong with my vagina that time was that it was "covered with bruises and small lacerations." the dr gave me some gloves, and we discussed the importance manicured nails.
so, i really wasn't surprised, years later, by the diagnosis of "your vagina is covered with scars"
i don't want to use gloves all the time, especially with my wife. so, i occasionally suffer for my greed. but having my own speculum, i can keep track of my cunt. i can tell my dr if something changes, i can see the start of any infection and get it dealt with early, i can know how things are supposed to be in there, at different points in my cycle, befor and after a pounding, etc. i can know what someone elses vagina looks like. i can do fun partry tricks. why doesn't every woman have a speculum?
you can purchase a speculum at many local stores... babeland, the crypt, fantasy unlmtd, and on line. *if your dr uses an extra long speculum to locate your cervix (or just seems to always have difficulty locating it), you can purchase one of these longer models at the crypt.
