A force to be reckoned with
Some will look at a storm with distaste
And wonder what good can come of it
The sky is dark and grey
Holding off the sunlight
The lightning flashes
Allowing brief, but shockingly bright
Glimpses of its power
The rain comes down in sheets
Soaking the land
The wind is hard and relentless
Blowing down whatever is not strong

A thing of great beauty
Something not everyone appreciates
The sun peeks through the clouds
Its light warming everything around
The lightning subsides
Everything is now focused
The rain soaked land
Allow seeds to sprout
The wind is now a gentle breeze
It destroyed the weak structures
And gave room for new things to grow
