So, yesterday my boys and I decided to tackle the spring cleaning in the winter job and switch rooms so they would have more space.
We took apart their beds, my bed, washed all the sheets and blankets, cleaned out everything and everywhere and made a bunch of bags for donations.
By this time I was tired!
So, while trying to put their beds back together I managed to trip over the frame I was screwing into the headboard and did this 180 swirly, turn, lutz into the frame itself landing my big ol booty on my arm. BACKWARDS!
I thought for sure it was broken immediately. OMG, IT HURT and I was wailing like a BANSHEE!
I sat there are tangled in this mess for a few minutes bawling my eyes out and realized it hurt more when I shook and that I had to get up. So I got to the couch and figured we better head for the hospital. I had shooting pains up and down my arm and it hurt so bad it was making me want to vomit.
So we drive all the way there, and 3 ambulances are unloading and there was nowhere to park.
So, it was time to self evaluate exactly how much it hurt. Did it really hurt THAT bad? So I moved my arm back and forth and while it hurt like hell I could do it. I ran my fingers up the ulna and radius with pressure and the bones didn't seem to hurt. I think it was all muscle. I think I tore every muscle in and around my elbow which I seemed to land on.
So, I decided to head home and see what it felt like in a couple hours. I took a pain pill and was able to baby the arm and actually finish the beds. So, I thought it can't be broken or I would be wailing again.
I didn't sleep worth a crap cause it hurts so much but am able to move it this morning a little as well.
It hurts most when I try to extend and straighten my arm so I just won't do that for a while.
When I apply pressure directly to my elbow itself , it does hurt more....so I am wondering if I didn't chip it or maybe a lil fracture in there somewhere.
We'll see how today goes. But I am officially a GIMP! I found out this morning when I tried to wipe my ....well you know.
OUCHIE!
