WISDOM
Rest assured in his stare-
And let him melt away the chill-
But when the time must surely come-
Go on and leave him-
Grow as the trees of freshened spring-
Learn as swift as the eagle flies-
Carry always the lamp of the future-
Until the day it dies-
And you will know when wisdom comes-
For it will soothe your tattered soul-
And lend it wings to make the flight-
Through the night back to it's maker-
Love will light your dawn-
And burn your face with passion-
Wrinkle it with age-
And lead you down the path to-
Tomorrow.
