Yes, I was so excited about FINALLY getting my cast off today. I mean FFS, you wear one continuously for a year....on and off for five years....you kind of want some relief from it. I get to the doctor's office, and they cut the cast off and I knew immediately that I was going right back into another one. The tattoo I had was on my ankle (before I had to have it removed), and when they cut the cast off, the inflamation had spread almost back up to my knee. I just don't understand why I can't catch a break with this damn thing. Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that I didn't get it off. Maybe Friday. Tomorrow is a BIG day for me. After being in a soft cast for the last year, I finally get to have it taken off without having a new one put on. (Yes this is all still due to the tattoo ordeal) It was supposed to happen on Friday, but I still had a little inflamation in the area so I had to have it put back on. So we are trying again tomorrow. Please say a prayer that all goes well. I have been in one of these cast on and off for the last 5 years and I REALLY want it off. Thanks y'all! Mary

I have seen a lot of people with status or blogs about not rating the Happy Hour Host for today...Even some who said they wouldn't be online again until all of his HH were over with. Am I missing something? I have no idea who this HH host is. Never spoke to him. Never been to his page. However, it's not because he chooses to spend his money in ways that I don't. There are MANY people on this site that buy HH as they please and I feel that is their business. Someone has to support the site and rather it's done with monthly VIPs, bling packs, tickers or Happy Hours, some may still consider it money wasted. We all earn out own money in our own ways...hopefully the legal way, so with that being said...shouldn't people be able to spend it wisely or blow it as they see fit? So tell me, please, have I missed something or some reason that I should boycott Happy Hour hosts now?

Saturday, Kenny Chesney (which isn't one of my favorite singers) is having a concert here in Columbia. He and the local radio station are having a contest for some local small town bands. The band that gets the most votes, will get to open for Kenny Chesney's concert on Saturday, which could be a big deal. Anywho, a very good personal friend of mine and his band is one of the bands that is competing. All I need you to do is go to the radio station's website and click on their band to vote for them. There are a few videos there if you would like to watch them. David has been singing all his life and personally I love his singing. Just got in from my follow up visit from my Saturday surgery. Well, Saturday night after the surgery, I got extremely sick and started running a high temperature. This lasted all day yesterday and was no better this morning. Basically to the point that I couldn't move without being in tears from the pain. Of course I should have gone to the emergency room when it first started, but me being the stubborn jackass that I am, I didn't. Anyway, the wonderful doctor tells me today that the incision is infected. That he probably should have waited another week or so to perform the surgery until I was completely fever free. Well golly Wilbur....now is a great time to figure this out. Now I sit here with an IV running in my leg. It will be there for at least two weeks and I get to give myself antibiotics in it twice daily. A home health nurse will come in twice a week while the IV is in to check the site and change whatever needs to be changed. Damn I love me some doctors. So I think I may slip some Jack Daniels in my IV. I bet that will clear everything right up. lol Just so you know, I am on some powerful meds right now and may not be on as much as usual. Just letting you all know I will be on and off today. Just got home from the hospital from having some minor surgery done and I'm in A LOT of pain and really not feeling well. I'm going to lay down for awhile and hopefully the drugs will do as they should. Hope you all are having a wonderful Saturday and I will catch up when I get up.
