I just have a question. If your birthday fell on Father's Day, what would be more important...spending time with your children, going out with your girlfriend and friends or making time for all of it?
Well, I know a particular father that decided to spend time with his girlfriend instead of his children. He called the day before to get his birthday and Father's Day wishes. When asked why his plans changed from spending time with his kids to spending time with his girlfriend...his answer was, she made plans for me a week ago and I don't want to disappoint her.
Hmmm... children ...girlfriend
Children you are barely around.. a girlfriend that you see every weekend.
I guess this is what "good dads" do. As long as they buy things on occasion for their children, they feel they are good fathers and don't need to actually 'be there'.
Hmm.. too bad. There may be a lot of disappointed & neglected children out there who will resent the men that 'claim' to be their father.
