Tomorrow is a birthday party for my "step-granddaughters". One has turned one and the other one is turning two. It's a screwed up situation where their grandmother on the father's side is raising them. This is probably the only reason I have a relationship with them because my SO's daughter and I do not get along. I was very excited about the party until reality set in and I realized I am going to be stuck in a confined space with not only the daughter but also her mother...my SO's ex. Him and I have been together for 3+years.
I'm not sure if I still want to go tomorrow. I'm pretty sure if I don't go then my SO won't go either. Should I suck it up and go so my SO can spend some time with his daughter and granddaughters or should I stay home and think only of myself. |
