Just wanted to let those who have been wondering where I have been...there was an ice storm here December 10th...pretty much all of Tulsa lost power and several surrounding areas. I am currently staying with my son because I still have no power at my place...people have been gaining back their power but it has been a slow process...
The ice was so heavy that it was snapping trees like they were twigs...now people I am talking about mature trees...the whole place looks so devastated here...we are losing many of our old trees...just seems so sad to lose so many...my loved ones were lucky and not much damage did they receive...my older son was sad that he lost the two favorite trees he had, but his family is safe and no damage was done to his house or autos. Some were not so fortunate... I learned from his wife that an elderly couple that lived a few houses from them, the man lost his wife...the next day his mother was taken by ambulance... we have yet to hear how she is doing...
As we and our fellow Oklahomans are trying to get things back to normal, we have received help from several states... I want to say here and now....THANK YOU! and many blessings for those whose are here and sacrificing the holidays with their loved ones...you truely are amazing!
