beware the zombies of today...
they tend to be of a new breed, no longer content to be of the undead they are instead the living dead....
they are a terrifying form of the human animal, the blood beast incarnate of no other kind previous...for they thirst on more than life and death-they thirst for the mayhem and the terror... completely without regard.
they live to kill and strike fear in those who live, as those who live have shown them not one care....
the zombies of today are a product of the casting off of them by those who live....they have become what they are through the denial of a basic respect of being and of life..what they have witnessed and experinced has precluded them from ever knowing the value of life...instead becoming a harbinger of the deaths they have lived and seen....and caused....
when life is denied or its existence defiled, then there is born an animal within the species called human...a dark replicant of that which still knows life.
it can be seen and is distinguished by the eyes...they are dead. dead eyes see only death, and where there is not yet any they seek to create it.
3 guys lit upon 1 the other night at the station i am usually to be found...but wasn't then(seems that i am being spared for the time being at least....)...they attacked with such frenzy and with at least one knife...kicking and stabbing and swarming....left for dead and the blood awash upon the concrete...they disappeared into the night, their thirst slaked....
a witness was horror-filled...transfixed by the brutal act and terrorised by her eyes' betrayal; they should never have to light upon such a carnaged spectacle, common sense would dictate, yet they did and for her-a lifelong nightmare in reality.
where do they stem from? what has formed them?
some of them exist after becoming hardened by the sight of death taking place before them, others from being forced to participate in ritualistic killings...religions and cultures abound in such acts of despicable terror...as do the myths of tradition...environment and yes, to a certain extent, genetics.
hunters delight in murder though they set fictitious boundaries, assuming that the living will never step past...conditions including that one should not kill of their own species of animal-all else being 'fair game'.... once de-sensitised to the culture of death boundaries cease to exist among many of these murderers-not that they mattered anyway....death is death after all.
war and aggression are great teachers of the new zombies...they provide a forum whereby the participant, by nature of living within that arena, is exposed to and engaged in the dance of death as a constant-a part of their existence. when it becomes as thick in their lungs as the stench of death a transformation occurs-particularly vulnerable to this 'change' are the young and the innocent...those who haven't really yet had the opportunities to live...where there is seldom life how could they experince it? instead they experience death, so pervasive and present is it...even within their own families....its a question of survival...
they leave that environment tainted if they leave at all...and where ever they venture there are those eyes, once alive now dead...seeking to maintain that which they have come to value as 'life'....ie survival, they act and act out with that view...with those eyes now dead....and deadly.
religions and cultures thrive on altering the perspective of what constitutes "life"....prefacing life with the silent word 'human', as if no other life matters. then they also create a form of separation among those of our kind...basing it on beliefs...those who do not believe as they do-well they really aren't quite the same...living adherents of 'the' right/righteous path....if those who do not believe, or who are 'different' are to die...well does it really matter? or moreso, perhaps their deaths can cleanse the unholy or the filthy....as though they are being done a favour by being killed...
we must-as creatures of life and love, be ever vigilant against those who hae dead eyes, but also of those who would transform the vulnerable into the living dead....the reign of the 'new zombies' is upon us....be wary....
