Fingers of autumn play
through changing leaves that
gently touch the trees;
nights brush colder
And linger.
A mirror reflects
north wind's chilled breath
As summer swept by.
The lonely cry of geese
punctuate the silence
to signify their passing.
Thoughts fly
just as south
to flee the snow.
