It become common knowledge that I have 5 children and that my oldest daughter, who was at one time a foster child of mine, has expressed a desire to write to her biological father, who happens to be in prison for child molestation.
I sat with my daughter and explained to her my reasons for hesitating to allow communication between the 2 of them. I think on certain level she understands and may even agree, but I know deep down that if I dont allow her willngly with the chance to monitor what she reads then shes going to do this behoin my back and theres no telling WHAT she would read. I told her she could write the letter BUT that she wasn't allowed to reveal ANY personal information about herself. Since the time I adopted her her name and SS# has been changed,in an effort to protect her. She agreed.
My cousin who lives 2 counties over said that she could use her PO Box as a return address because the prison hes in is too far to hand deliver a letter.
The letter has been sent and now were waiting on a response.
