Another trip to Atlanta

This was a very exhausting trip! We left the same time as last - around 2:30am. I knew by the way bf's nephew was moving in the house that he was not doing so well. I was going to try to beg off and not go because I was not feeling well, but went anyway. Glad I did or there would have been two funerals to go to. We were trying to race the rains and almost did. Near the Ga border and bf had just started nodding off in the truck, I was wide awake and bf's nephew did the same..starting to nod off to sleep. I had to call out his name loudly several times and just missed hitting a tanker truck. He had to slow down and move quickly to the left to miss the truck. A short while we stopped so he could get a couple hours sleep, which made us have to go through Atlanta's bumper-to-bumper-5 mile an hour traffic,(This is from the time we crossed the Ga border to-and through Atlanta to get to the VA Hosp) which made bf late in getting to the hosp. The hosp chewed him out but treated him anyway. Gave him more meds and he has lost more weight...10 more pounds! He hurt during the treatment, he is usually doing his best when he as this treatment. Even the morphine drip was not beneficial this time. The rains had started just as we entered Atlanta. Listened to the tv in the hospital and watched the news on the tornato that touched down in Enterprize, AL. Bf's nephew slept in the truck the whole day which I am glad of! The hardest rains were on the way back. It rained hard, could not see the hood of the truck hard. From Atlanta to just about 50 miles from home. Nephew's truck had ONE wiper on it and had to stop several times to fix it as it would try to fly off or not wipe at all! Those last 50 miles to home were a blessing. Not a drop of rain. If the roads were not wet, we would have not known that it had rained. I normally go to bed around 1am. I went to bed at 11:30-12 and went right to sleep. Woke up around 9 and every muscle in my body was soar from the stress of the day before. Took an Aleve and it helped a little. Enough for me to function. Body said go back to bed and I did! Bf's daughter finally showed up with our laundry. She and daughter in law take turns volunteering to do our laundry since we do not have a washing machine. I thought I would end up going naked! She took her time bringing back our clothing. Listening to the news. They are naming all the students lost in the tornado at the high school. Interviewing others that witnessed. *Gives a silent prayer for the families that have the tragic loss*
