Riding on an open range,
Without a place called home,
This solitary figure works and plays
And lives his life alone.
On a road to hell,
He is as close to Heaven
As he can be,
And there's only one thing
That can bring him to his knees.
The love of an angel
Can tame the wild man's heart,
And temper the flame that burns
Deep within his soul.
An angel makes him cry when alone,
And no one can hear his tears,
They make his hear the songs of Heaven,
When she hold him in her arms.
He may not have a home,
But Heaven is in her arms,
And in her arms he will return,
That's all he works for every day.
Cowboys and Angels,
They compliment each other well,
And he tips his hat to her halo,
As he heads back to his hell.
Back to his daily chores,
He rides with her in his heart.
