My son is a huge Foo Fighters fan. We've always promised him if they came close enough we'd get tickets. Well the tickets go on sale in less than an hour and my mom has offered to buy two of the three tickets as Christmas presents for him and I. But she wants me to keep the tickets secret until he opens them. He knows they go on sale...assuming I am able to get tickets, do I just tell him I couldn't get any? If the present were from me, I'd just tell him in advance that he's got the tickets. I'm not totally keen on lying but it is her money. What say you?
