We were friends
We laughed, teased, and relaxed.
We became lovers.
Not in the physical way,
But you touched me,
Mind, body, heart, and soul.
The words spoken melted the ice around my heart.

Morning, noon and night.
A minute didn’t go by that you were not with me.
