The Beginning - I am a native Kansan, born in Kansas City on July 11, 1976 to Sharon & David. I have 6 siblings - 2 older step-brothers, 2 younger brothers, and a younger step-brother & -sister. My parents divorced in '84, mom re-married in '85 to Robert, whom I consider to be my only dad.School - K-3rd I attended Emerson Elementary in KCK. 4th-10th found me in the Turner school district at Turner East Elementary, Pierson Jr. High & Turner High. The remainder of 10th-12th was spent at Shawnee Mission North where I graduated in 1994. I took YEARS off from school, finally enrolling at Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA in the summer of 2003. I'm currently a first year senior working towards my B.S. in Business Management and should be completed in 2008.My Family - My son was born in '95, and I was a single mom for about 3 months. I then met John, who became my husband in '97 and our daughter was born 3 months later (oopsie LOL). John and I separated in '99 and our divorce was final in '01. I met Shawn in November '03, moved in with him and his daughter in June '04...and we are currently in the process of separating.Religious Background - Raised in a Christian household and attended Gospel Temple & Antioch Family Worship Center (and several others that I can't remember). Attended Mass on holidays with my in-laws. Began researching other religions in '99 and decided that I was UU. My brother introduced me to Wicca & magick in '02. Began taking courses in college about Christianity including Evangelism, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Theology 1 & 2, and Creation v. Evolution. A few months ago, I revisted Wicca and began taking online courses to increase my knowledge of the religion and it's practices.If you are curious about Wicca please check out this website for Wicca or Unitarian Universalism.Volunteer Work - I rejoined the Girl Scouts of America in '03 as a Troop Leader, and am beginning my 4th year in that position. I then became the Positive Power Captain of our local service unit in '05, this is the beginning of my 2nd year in that position. FYI, Positive Power in Mid-Continent Council's program that gives girls a sense of self-worth and knowledge of healthy relationships in order to reduce the number of domestic violence victims, it also collects donations for local battered women's shelters every February. At Farmers Insurance, I was a member of the Partners in Pride committe which actively collected and donated items & money for March of Dimes, Boys & Girls Club, El Centro, and the Olathe Food Pantry.
