Adam and Eve
A glassy eyed voodoo
Of sorrow and violence,
She screams for defiance
With all of her bones,
And no one is listening
To her internal silence,
She shakes her rattle alone.
Hypnotic ribbons
Wave in the wind,
And he catches them,
Only barely.
Streamers of color
Almost pass him by,
And he cries
At the need to be wary.
The circle around themselves,
In rusty locked mindset,
Fretting their seperate lives.
Spinning together
In their own little spaces
Until something better arrives.
