Instagram is one of the most fun social networking sites out there. What you do is just whip out your iPhone and capture the images you want. Then by logging in to Instagram you can edit the image to match the type of tint you want it to appear. Bam! You now have a post for your friends to see, better than writing a saying within 120 words right?
Of course, if you want to have more Instagram followers there are better ways than just waiting for them to fall in your lap. Why not do the following instead:
Let your friends from other social networks know: One of the easiest ways to acquire followers in Instagram is by letting your other friends from other social networks know that you have this account. What you do is just posts about your new Instagram account and then put a link. Pretty soon, many of your friends will check out your page.
Use the most talked about hashtags: Hashtags are ways for people to contribute to an on-going discussion on the internet. This was popularised and originally created in Twitter but has since also been used even in Instagram. What you should do, so that other people will stumble into your work, is create an image relevant to a popular hastag. Then label the hashtag to your image. You can find popular hashtags by opening up your browser and look for what is currently trending.
Follow other Instagram accounts: Another way you can get followers is by being a follower through someone else’s account. Once you have followed an account make sure to comment and give out your positive praises. That way you can have a meaningful conversation with that person and in turn look at your account and follow you as well. The best case scenario is that the person’s followers will also look at your account and become a follower as well.
Respond to people’s post: Did someone give you a comment in your posts? Then respond to them as well! The more you two interact the better it is for you in the long run. That is because whenever you respond or someone gives out a comment anyone who was following your post will get a news ticker that there is an activity in your post. Chances are the news ticker will cause people who were following your post to take a look at your picture again, which will get new traffic. More traffic to your post means that whenever the search engine looks at your picture it will have a better chance of being put on the first page!
