Today has been one of the worst days I have had in a long time...I had a g/f of mine visiting today and it started out as a really great day but quickly went sour....
My daughter just recently got a pug puppy from her aunt..When she got it she had the biggest sparkle in her eyes,It was the kind of dog she had been wanting since she was 3 and she will be 6 on June 19th....
Anyway my g/f was getting ready to leave and my daughter and I walked out with her,not aware of what was about to happen...Her puppy had gotten out through a screen in her bedroom window..
Well none of us had seen her but she was out laying under the tire of my g/f's car and when she backed out all I heard was a yelp...She had backed over the puppy and broke its neck,killing it...
My daughter saw it and just fell to her knees with terror in her eyes,The kind that as a parent you hope you never have to see...It took a while to get her to stop crying...
I have been so numb because I feel like theres nothing I can really do but to hold her and comfort her,I want to take her pain away and just rewind this whole day...She has been and still is very jumpy tonite...I will be up most the night with her because of it...
I will probably keep her home tomorrow from school...She has already been through alot as it is...She had an abusive daddy that she saw beat me up really bad one night over a year ago...So she has seen more than I really ever wanted her too...I know we cant protect them from everything but theres just certain things we would prefer they never see.
Also I'm really sorry to those that lost a friend named Kim from this site...I didn't really know her but my heart goes out to you all as well!!!
