“CAN’T HELP”
By: Carl E. Ingram
I can’t help feeling sad
That I might have hurt you.
I can’t help being mad
At myself for what’s true.
I can’t help to cry
For not talking to you.
I can’t help wanting to die
But I don’t want to.
I can’t help thinking of you
Leaning and sleeping on me.
I can’t help waiting too
For us two being a three.
I can’t help loving you
And how the way you are.
I can’t help caring too
That you are so far.
I can’t help being clever
By stealing your love.
I can’t help wishing us together
Until we’re both above.
