A Measure of Love
A Measure of Love (no way to quantify)
Another time (not so long ago)
another place (not far away)
not just anyone (but one in a billion)
but your sweet face (that could launch a thousand ships)
When there is no hope to hang on (I fear tomorrow)
when your fires have all died out (cold and dark)
when there's no reason to wake up (who cares anyway)
listen for a whisper, hidden in a shout (my ears hurt)
a whisper from the wilderness carried by the wind
a whisper of love from the beginning until the end
still becomes the hustle and bustle of the street
soft become the calluses on your tired feet
Never lose hope, never give up
never forget to share from your cup
we are measured not by how much we are loved
but by how much we love
until then
I remain hopeful
That maybe someday someway
I could love you,forever and a day.
